Payments and point of sale

Square payments in store, on iPhone, and in one governed ledger.

Use seller-authorized Square access to map physical locations, POS orders, Tap to Pay on iPhone payments, refunds, customer references, and transaction status into Ardenti Pay.

Normalized contract

What Ardenti Pay records

Provider-specific fields are translated into predictable commerce and payment objects without erasing their original source context.

Legal and operational boundaries

Responsibility stays where it belongs.

  • The Square seller remains the merchant of record and is responsible for products, services, receipts, taxes, returns, refunds and customer communications.
  • Square—not Ardenti Pay—authorizes and settles Square payments and administers provider-level fraud and dispute processes.
  • Ardenti Pay does not collect raw card numbers, security codes or magnetic-stripe data.
  • Tap to Pay on iPhone requires the Ardenti Pay native iOS companion app, an eligible device and region, Apple entitlement approval, and Square production authorization; the website alone cannot accept a contactless payment.
  • The seller must present required contactless-payment disclosures, confirm the amount before collection, and provide receipts and refund information as required by law and Square rules.
  • OAuth access is limited to the scopes granted by the seller and may be restricted, refreshed or revoked.
  • Normalized payment status is operational information and should be reconciled against authoritative Square reports and bank deposits.
